half-sister and brother, illegitimate offspring of the Greek Thunder God Zeus, are stranded on an island ranch just off the coast of Los Angeles. They wait in vain for their father to move them to new lives. Their father, Zeus, fates a play, "The Importance of Being Earnest," by Oscar Wilde, which the children must perform if they want to survive. The children face eviction by the U.S. Government - the island is to be turned into a National Park. Unable to wait, they seek new lives in Los Angeles, where they meet colorful characters, adventure and romance, and the thing they most want - a fresh start.
